Club updates
n SEACOAST RETIRED EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION: will hold its final spring meeting on Tuesday, May 8, at the Portsmouth Country Club. The program, Consumer Protection & Fraud, is a presentation that targets the top scams and frauds retirees face. We'll learn how to recognize, resist and report, if we or family members are targeted. The program begins at 10:30 and the doors open at 10. Make reservations for this program and lunch, by calling Jan Homan 772-5105. This will be the final meeting until fall.
n NARFE: (National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees) SEACOAST CHAPTER 1790 meets in March, April, May, September, October, November, and December, generally on the fourth Thursday. Lunch is at 12:30 p.m. 926-3472.
n ACTIVE RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION (ARA): Open to Seacoast residents 50 years and above. Annual membership $50. The ARA meets at the Durham Evangelical Church, 17 Main St. Continuing series include great decisions discussions on Monday mornings, physical fitness Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 7:30 to 8:30, writing group Tuesday afternoons and play reading Friday afternoons. Participating teams included Rockland Community Sailing, St. George Community Sailing, North Haven Casino, Camden Yacht Club, Rockport Boat Club, Northport Yacht Club, Stockton Harbor Sailing Center, Castine Yacht Club and Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club.
