Three Tree Point Yacht Club's Benefit Sail For Hospitality House Is Thursday
The Three Tree Point Yacht Club’s annual ‘Midsummer Sound Sail’ to benefit Burien’s Hospitality House Women’s Shelter will be held this Thursday night, July 7th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. from the Des Moines Marina guest dock.
The funds raised by boat captains and guests will support the work of the Hospitality House Women’s Shelter .
This is the third year that TTPYC has chosen Hospitality House as their sponsor non-profit organization.
“Hospitality House was founded in 2000,” reads an email announcement. “It is a warm and welcoming shelter for homeless women from communities throughout South King County. In the past year, 2710 bed nights were provided for 84 homeless women in South King County. Of the women served in 2010, over 65% moved into stable housing.”
Hospitality House has been able to serve these neighbors in need because of the generosity of churches, businesses, local governments, individuals, and civic and community organizations. Special events such as the Midsummer Sound Sail race series give people in the greater south sound a chance to learn more about this important social service program and contribute to its success.
