I've got a "must attend" event down in Florida. It's going to be held in a VERY up-scale facility and outdoor patio overlooking the ocean. The dress code on the RSVP is "beach formal."

I don't think this would be for me but if I did it, I would pick-up a re-insurance or gap policy to cover the deductible including any "non-accident" bow to stern damages that occurred on my watch (if even such a policy is available). full days/partial days. I would think the larger the membership, the harder it would be to get the boat and times you want but I don't know since I haven't been a part of one of these.
