» Dozens of trees went down and caused scattered power outages Thursday afternoon when a squall roared across southern Door County. There were no injuries reported as a result of the storm but the winds, which were clocked at 60 mph, knocked over boats at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club.

» In a dramatic turnaround, the City Plan Commission agreed Wednesday to extend a public development district in downtown Sturgeon Bay to include the vacant shipyard owned by Peterson Development.

» Swimmers say goodbye to the 38-year-old Peterson Memorial Pool as it closes to make way for the new Door County YMCA aquatic center.

» The second Northern Door barn walk highlights the best in Peninsula's rural architecture.
