5 Things That Say Marblehead
Marblehead truly is a one-of-a-kind town and for the last few weeks we have been posting articles focused on what it is that makes living here so special.
So, this week we are offering up Marblehead Patch's picks for just five of the things that separate Marblehead from surrounding communities:
1. Polite Speed Limit Signs : Many of Marblehead's speed limit signs don't just remind residents of the speed limit on a given road, they politely ask them to adhere to it. Many out-of-towners are shocked to see that attached to many local speed limit markers are smaller signs that say "please."
2. Ringing the Neck : No, we don't mean strangling someone you're unhappy with. We mean the steady flow of cyclists, runners, and boarders who cross the causeway every day to take in the scenic loop around Marblehead Neck.
3. Remembering Where We Came From : Whether it was the recent dedication ceremony at Fort Sewall , taking in a reenactment or just stopping by the Selectmen's Meeting Room at Abbot Hall to admire the Spirit of '76 - Marblehead residents will always have an appreciation for our town's rich history.
