Before the beachfront ceremony, the former congressman spoke warmly of his bride.
“This is a day that’s a beautiful day, not only in weather but just for my family,” he said. “And I’m the luckiest guy. She’s the best I could have ever imagined, and I’m lucky to be able to share this day with her.”
The wedding crowd included an intergenerational mix of Kennedy’s famous family. Those spotted among the guests include his mother, Joan, and his late father’s second wife, Victoria; his brother Edward Jr. and sister Kara; aunts Ethel and Jean Kennedy Smith; cousins Joseph III, Kerry, Christopher and Robert Shriver III, along with family friend and former U.S. Sen. John Tunney from California.
Earlier in the day, the groom joined other Kennedy clan members and his prospective in-laws for a sail on his father’s boat, Mya.
“I feel like my dad’s kind of orchestrating everything from up above, and he’s doing a great job so far,” the former Rhode Island congressman said.
